Lindenhurst, NY Lindenhurst, NY Full-time Full-time From $70,000 a year From $70,000 a year 17 hours ago 17 hours ago 17 hours ago The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing all quality processes and controls for the production of TiniFiber Micro Armor Fiber Optic Cable and custom assemblies within TiniFiber's main warehouse, located in Farmingdale, NY and their factories located in China.
Occasional travel to Asia would be required for this opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that quality standards are met at every step of the process involved in TiniFiber Micro Armor Fiber Optic Cable manufacturing Oversee OTDR testing of master fiber optic reels delivered from the factories Implement audits throughout the supply chain, ensuring quality standards, safety (OSHA), legal requirements (FAR/DFARS), and company policies & specifications are met Collaborate with clients, customers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve problems with delivered products Conduct or assist with performance and failure analysis of defective products or materials; identify, recommend, or executes corrective actions Provide quality engineering support for in-progress and final acceptance projects Provide technical and administrative support and guidance to all departments Develop and maintain a system to track and report projects and results of quality awareness programs and initiatives Draft and maintain product assurance policies and procedures, ensuring specifications and requirements are met Draft and recommend procedures to establish or improve quality standards, standard repairs, process controls, and inspection methods Oversee data collection, analysis, and other research for quality projects Hire and train additional assurance staff when needed Oversee the daily workflow and schedules of the department Perform other duties as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Previous Quality Control Management experience with Fiber Optic cable is preferred Fiber optic and OTDR testing experience is preferred Experience overseeing quality controls of multiple warehouses/factories is preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
