Communications Technician - Field Service Technician

Job Description

Eclipse Technology, LLC. is the premier Regional Service Provider (RSP) for WWTS (WorldWide TechServices) and Hughes Network Systems. We hire and train career-minded individuals for professional service and maintenance of Hughes Network satellite systems, performed at commercial and residential locations. Must be willing to work a full-time 8AM to 5PM workday with overtime as necessary that meets the needs of our customers and business. This will include paid standby (on-call) weekends, overtime and working on some holidays as required. Pay will Commensurate with your experience. This is a full-time position working in the New York Metro/Long Island area.


 


REQUIREMENTS:



  • Repair of satellite equipment such as Dish Network or Hughes Direct PC equipment and cabling to meet specifications

  • Meeting strict response times, troubleshooting and repairing systems using tools and test equipment

  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions; work on ladders up to 30 feet in height; lift and work with up to 60 lbs; kneel and reach overhead; work on rooftops when necessary

  • Must meet driver safety requirements - No CDL required just a clean driving record

  • Able to perform physical work that may involve overtime/double-time paid extended hours (indoors/outdoors) in order to complete all assigned customers in the scheduled workday


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Must be able to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screening

  • Basic to moderate experience with computers with A+ Certification required or in progress

  • Preferred Previous Work Experiences for this position - Direct TV experience a plus

  • Responsible and dependable

  • Organized and Hardworking

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
